Packaging is indispensable in our society. They play an important role in preserving and protecting products. Only a well-developed system for collection, sorting and recycling reduces their environmental impact and allows them to remain in the chain as new raw materials.
What is Fost Plus?
Fost Plus is responsible for the recycling of service packaging in Belgium.
Service packaging is used where products or services are offered to consumers, such as bread bags, pizza boxes, disposable pots and cups, wrapping paper and checkout bags.
Biopack as a reliable supplier
As a reliable and conscientious supplier, Biopack is a member of Fost Plus. We pay an annual fee for the collection, sorting and recycling of service packaging. For this, we submit an annual return. The amount depends on the type and quantity of packaging sold on the Belgian market. This is because each packaging material is allocated a Green Dot rate that reflects the effective cost of collection, sorting and recycling.
