Our compostable carrier bags are made of Mater-Bi. This material consists of starches extracted from cornmeal. Corn is a renewable, plant-based raw material and Mater-Bi contributes to reducing the greenhouse effect.
The foil from which the bags are made has the same properties (in terms of use) as classic LDPE foil. The foil is naturally milky white.
Our carrier bags are certified to EN-13432 and carry the OK Home Compost certificate. This international label guarantees complete biodegradability in the light of specific requirements, even in your garden compost heap or container at home, within 12 weeks into good compost.
