These straws are made from PLA, the environmentally friendly alternative to plastics made from petroleum. PolyLactic Acid, PLA in short, is obtained from natural starches such as corn starch, which is also a 100% renewable raw material. The expected scarcity of fossil fuels in the near future will have no effect on the production of PLA.
The straws are taste neutral and are 100% biodegradable & compostable.
